Allan Schollnick has over two decades of experience in film and video post-production, distribution and technical services.
Mr. Schollnick held key management positions at The Walt Disney Company, DreamWorks SKG, Turner Broadcasting and THX Ltd.
In 2008, Mr. Schollnick started AJS Media Consultants, and has collaborated with Sundoe Technologies, Inc. Von Johnson and Associates (VJA), and a consortium of other consulting groups, which service the film industry. AJS Media has aligned itself with a key group of industry professionals, which possess expertise in multiple disciplines in the content production, post, asset management, and the distribution space.Prior to building AJS Media Consultants, Schollnick was employed at THX as Director of Program Development within their Blu-Ray and DVD content certification business. Before joining THX Ltd. Schollnick held a Senior Sales and Business Development Position with Ascent Media / Cinetech where he was responsible for motion picture restoration and preservation sales and servicing for all the major studios in the entertainment sector.
Schollnick served as the Executive Director of Technical and International Post Production at DreamWorks SKG, where he was responsible for the creation, execution, management, and logistics of localizing films like Shrek, Saving Private Ryan, The Prince of Egypt, and Cast Away dubbed and subtitled for worldwide release. Prior to DreamWorks SKG, he was Director of Operations for the International Dubbing Group at Turner Entertainment Distribution Services.
Before joining Turner, Schollnick held posts as Technical Manager of International Dubbing and Manager of Quality Assurance at DisneyÕs Buena Vista Worldwide Services Division.
Prior to Disney, he was the Manager of Mastering Quality Control at Lorimar Telepictures Technical Services. This facility is now owned by Warner Bros under the name of GDMX.
Prior to moving to Los Angeles in 1984, Schollnick worked at the Strassenburg Planetarium as a multi-media special effects designer and technician on several LASER light shows for the Rochester Museum and Science Center.
Additional to Schollnicks work, he holds a post as the past Section President for the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers Hollywood Section and is currently attending the University of Phoenix to obtain a BS Degree in Global Business Management 2012. He holds a CSUN Certificate in Total Quality Management, Optical Engineering Certificate Program from Monroe Community College, and a Degree in Communications AAS in Television, Audio and Film also through Monroe Community College.
